David V8 is a complete Client/Server system. The Server component -- DvISE -- is the heart of David V8. The DvISE Server takes care of connections to external networks such as the Internet or the telephone network and data storage. At the same time it makes the various services available for the client.

The Tobit InfoCenter is the Client software for David V8. It is similar to Microsoft Outlook regarding its presentation, structure and function. While Outlook is a pure eMail program, the Tobit InfoCenter is a multi-media Client, designed specifically to deal with various kinds of media and objects, offering powerful features and benefits.
